Big, strong boy

Blake had his 9 month well visit today, and he looks great! He's 21 lbs (55%) and 27 3/4 in (30%). Developmentally he is exactly on track.

We have to go see an opthalmologist because one of his eyes turns in slightly when he tries to focus. We also have to redo blood work on Tuesday because their machine has been a little off and it reported an elevated count.

London in a day

Whirlwind day in London. Arrived at 9am (3am Austin time), by 12:30 I
was sightseeing by foot. I hit most of the highlights (Hyde Park,
Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Big Ben, Parliment, St.Mary's
Cathedral). Now I'm pooped!

Doctors are fun

Well not really, but at least Blake makes the best of them! Sweet,
happy boy!

Corn Island Photos

Here is our view from breakfast every morning.

Back to Reality

Just back from 6 days in Corn Islands and the kiddos spending quality
time with the grandparents. I think everybody enjoyed themselves
greatly, but it's sure going to be tough to adjust to reality again.

The islands were breathtaking. Great beaches, beautiful water, and
really good times with friends (photos to come soon).

I am incredibly happy to see my littles again. I missed them more
than words can describe.

I am also so thankful for all the blessings in our life. It's amazing
that in the midst of so much beauty there is still so much sadness.

The Longhorn Heartburn

After watching the Fiesta Bowl tonight I decided I am never letting Blake watch Longhorn football. Every big game gets my heart racing and since Blake only has half a heart, I don't think being a fan is a good idea. We'll find him some wonderful school with no football program. ;)

He Talks

Blake said his first word yesterday.  And, of course, it's "Da Da".  I am tickled that he's talking (and he's really cute when he does it), but I feel totally cheated that both of my kids favored their Dad for their first word.  Ah, the pains of an under appreciated mother! ;)
