Heart doctor day

Today was Blake's cardiologist appointment. All in all it went well, but we are happy his surgery is set. His oxygen saturation is lower than it has been and that is due to his pulmonary artery decreasing in size a bit and he's growing out of the artificial shunt currently in his heart. The doc said all of these things are to be expected. Both of these things will be resolved with his next surgery.

It is hard to hear that things aren't perfect, but he is doing as well as could be expected at this point.

He is still growing like a weed. Today he weighed in at 11 lbs 10.5 oz and was over 23 inches long. He's quickly becoming a chunky monkey!

Blake is growing so fast--one day you will turn around and he'll be in school. We too await the next surgery and know that he will triumph again. He's strong & a fighter. To look at him you wouldn't know that he previously had surgery. PawPaw & I are here for all of you. Each day we think about of all of you.

What a big kid! He is going to come through the surgery with flying colors and all will be great.
