A year ago today, Blake was diagnosed with HLHS. They told us that we had two choices, submit him to three open heart surgeries before the age of 5, or let him go peacefully. In our family, we don't ever give up. I'm so glad we didn't. Who would have ever thought when we heard this news that a year later our little man would be enjoying this yummy plate of mac and cheese on his first birthday!
